You can send in entries of your favourite outdoor spot to all or any category: "Best Photo", “Best Drawing” and "Best Description" competitions.
- Descriptions can be written as photo captions, poems, short descriptive stories or any other way you choose.
- For privacy reasons, photos without people in them are preferred. Animals are fine!
The prizes
The winners of each category will each win a Macpac Kahuna backpack, Hunting & Fishing NZ kids pack, Skellerup Red Band gumboots, Kiwi Sock Company gumboot socks, a head torch sponsored by Mountain Safety Council, and a Fence Detective smartphone app and cap. Their schools will win a $100 book voucher and a Cancer Society of New Zealand 1L bottle of sunscreen.
Second place in each category will win a $50 book voucher, a Mountain Safety Council survival pack, Fence Detective smartphone app and cap, and Kiwi Sock Company tramping socks. Their schools will each win a $50 book voucher.
Third place in each category will win a $25 book voucher, survival whistle and spork sponsored by Mountain Safety Council, and Fence Detective smartphone app and cap. Their schools will each win a $25 book voucher.
