The learning intentions include:
- Showing an awareness of purpose in writing the story and targeting the audience through the deliberate choice of content, language and writing style
- Controlling descriptive and figurative language to show physical, emotional and psychological states rather than naming them
- Controlling plot, character development, dialogue, description, tension, pace etc. to meet the purpose of the story
- Select and use a wide range of vocabulary within appropriate and varied sentence construction to meet the purpose of the story .
